Main product: Submission of the article "Myrrha Lot-Borodine - pierwsza prawosławna teolog" (journal "Theology and science")

Subject: The aim of the project is to submit the article "Myhrra Lot-Borodine - the first Orthodox theologian" to the journal "Theology and Science". Lot-Borodine was an important figure of the Russian diaspora in Paris - born in St. Petersburg, Lot-Borodine, then a graduate of the Sorbonne and wife of a professor at that institution, became an important figure in the intellectual life of Paris in the first half of the 20th century; she published in Russian and French. In the 1920s, this author became a resource on Orthodox spirituality for Western intellectuals, including Catholic theologians. Lot-Borodine influenced the thinking of Western intellectuals first of all about Orthodox spirituality, but also about the proper attitude towards the great catastrophes of the 20th century - the First and Second World Wars: she wrote about the participation of civilians in wars, about the duty of intellectual effort, sharpening self-awareness, in the face of social and, more importantly, anthropological transformations of the 20th century; her son-in-law, Boris Vilde, was an initiator of the French liberation movement).  
The importance of this figure is not reflected in the number of scientific works devoted to her: in English there is one work about her, in Russian - two, in Polish - none has appeared so far. The project includes the translation of the key works of M. Lot-Borodine published in French, the search for and collation of works by Western theologians in which reference to the works of the Russian intellectual has been made, and combining the new content with the Russian-language part of the author's oeuvre (which has already been worked out), and reading the manuscripts retrieved from archives around the world.

Subject: The research subject of the Team is contemporary Russian culture, analyzed from the perspective of alternative phenomena, which are a non-affirmative reaction to any signs of homogenization of culture. The latter is understood by the Team members not only as a result of activities aimed at reinforcing in the Russian society a system of values that is both dominant and uniform, but also as the effect of simultaneously observed processes of pop-cultural homogenization.
The non-system forms of contemporary Russian culture include a variety of attitudes such as alternative, rebellion, contestation, protest, blasphemy and alienation. 
What the Team sees as the optimal tool for research on contemporary contestation forms is the “system vs non-system” opposition, in which the notion of “system” includes both “the official” and the dominant pop-cultural trends.
The more or less radically expressed dislike towards the signs of an official culture or the trends of a dominant culture is an attitude characteristic of any young generation. In Russia however, due to the force and frequency of culture-unifying impulses, the attitude of objection is not limited to strictly defined age groups. Thus what is expressed in the eponymous Young Russia is the constantly present need of distancing oneself from the official and dominant culture.
